Andrew has 35 years of experience providing commissioning expertise to the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and oil & gas industry. He has worked in construction, commissioning and start-up. Andrew has experience working for both the client and supplier. He is proficient in working with engineering documents such as P&ID’s, spec. sheets, hook-up drawings, loop diagrams and electrical schematics. He has experience with Loop checking and function checking instrumentation to DCS control systems, instrument calibrations, following QA quality policies to ISO 9001 requirements, ensuring design and test documentation adheres to quality standards and specifications, and inspecting of vendor skids and installations. Andrew also has experience in mechanical completion checks, writing commissioning procedures, reviewing and accepting vendor documentation, and witnessing and performing testing. He adheres to GMP. His experience also encompasses inspecting installation and hands on testing of rotating equipment such as compressors, centrifuges, gas turbines, and multistage centrifugal pumps and reciprocating pumps. Andrew has worked on Sulzer, Ingersoll Rand, GE, Atlas Copco equipment. He has also completed routine instrument calibration checks.
Andrew has an excellent degree of computer literacy, knowledge of ISO 9000 requirements and GAMP. He has audit, and Permit, health and safety experience.
Andrew is familiar with testing SCADA, DCS, PLC’s, Bentley Navada, ESD systems, SIS, Fire and Gas, HVAC building management, Honeywell TDC 3000, Triconex, ABB, Siemens S7 Emerson Delta V. HART communication, PlantScape and Profibus.
